Week 38 of group six CD Torrevieja vs CD Almazora. Let's show what we are!
2017-04-11 21:41:00

Let's show what we are!

We had the stage, the weather, the moment, the right place to score and breathe for a moment. It turned into a nightmare, a bad dream and a moment of anger-rage very difficult to explain to those who had not seen the previous encounter.

It is very hard to start a report like this without describing what happened in Elche in the 60th minute when our team was leading 0-1 and Molina was knocked down inside the area clearly by an Ilicitano player. This refereeing mistake led to Elche's revival and we went to the shower 2-1 losers, with 2 men less, Vicente (yellow and red) and Meca, who after his first half yellow card saw the second in the last play of the match, for protesting. Despite these casualties, these difficulties,  the team is already well prepared to win against Almazora on Thursday.

The Torry supporters were seen in the stand in Elche and the players in the field gave everything but their effort got little reward. A second half much better than the first one, in which we had good possession of the ball and looked for much the winners courtesy of Molina's goal, that was squeezed very well between the defenders by Lewis. Thus came our goal and after that, the most controversial play of the match.

Just promoted to division three in the summer, this is the season of CD Almazora, the group led by Ivan Medalla, is above us by 5 points. They have won two of their last three matches after a lean spell. They started very well and even got to be in the top 10 for several days, but in 2017, the whole of Castellon has been getting into 'problems'. They have a squad made up of good players and many of them ex Castellón CD. Their top scorer, Nico, has 9 goals.

We will believe and fight for the win. We hope our fans will help take the club forward and encourage the win. Thursday at 17:30 at the Nelson Mandela.
