                                                                              Penalty disaster
Two converted penalties condemned Torry to a final home defeat in a traumatic season. Both were valid, the second resulting in the dismissal of Vicente Boix and making it well nigh on impossible for Torry to recover.
Miguel Serna conceded the first but was shown only a yellow card, but Vicente stopped the ball from crossing the goal line by scooping it away and the eagle eyed linesman brought this to the attention of the man in the middle, who was left with no choice other than to send him off.
Prieto had had drawn the home side level when timing his run well, then opening up his body to slide the ball into the far corner of the net. The second penalty was as equally well converted as the first and then a super header made it three for Jove before the interval.
Jove were in desperate need of the points and had that sharper edge to their game. In the second period they squandered numerous chances but Torry also raised their game and always threatened to reduce the deficit and make it an exciting finish. In the end they did not and slumped off to a sad home finish to a torrid season.
Before they had a chance to jump in the showers, the players received awards for their season long performances. Luis Carlos snapped up the Fans Player of the Year as well as the Players' Player of the Year trophy. Lewis Allen was the leading goalscorer with goalkeeper Miguel Serna collecting the Most Consistent Player of the Year award. The final award of Overall Club Player of the Year went to the classy Javi Selvas.
A long trek to already relegated Acero concludes the campaign as the club battles for funding and sponsors for the season ahead.
