Still about Goals (lack of them!)

It was a lively opening ten minutes in Bunol with both sides attacking with gusto, though without any real threat on goal. Torry gave a debut to Higón on the right wing, with Cesar in the middle and Lewis on the left, Suarez just behind. Torry have already begun to rely on Suarez for their creativity, though no one is lacking in effort. In particular, Higón showed an admirable desire and fierceness, something Torry need more of all round.
Vicente captained the side with Jorge suspended, but it was his namesake in the Buñol goal who stole the limelight. He pulled off a series of first rate saves. He tipped a Higón strike over the bar, then made a point blank block on a thunderbolt from Suarez that looked a sure fire goal. He bettered that when Torry were awarded a penalty after Metej was judged to have been hauled down in the box. César struck the ball firmly and to the left of Vicente, but it was a great height for keepers who guess the right way. Vicente did just that and palmed the ball away for a corner.
Buñol were awarded a free kick on the left close to the touchline and bye line and as Torry went to sleep, they took it quickly, got to the bye line and crossed it low and hard. It went throught to More who tapped it over the line. With barely a minute left until half time, it was a body blow for Torry. It was the price paid for a loss of concentration. The second half was notable for a plethora of cautions and two dismissals for Buñol - one with over 20 minutes to go, the other in the last minute of play. Despite this, Torry could not score.
César bundled the ball wide from a header by Higón, then hit the foot of a post. Suarez and Carrasco were off target with solid efforts before Carrasco headed home but was offisde. No amount of pressing could beat Vicente, whose side have now won three and drawn one of their last five, moving above Torry, now relegated to 17th place, just outside the drop zone.
Paterna at the Nelson Mandela at 5pm on Sunday is next up, as the Vicente Garcia is repaired, where a win is essential
